Wow, I’ve been gone a long time from Tumblr.  Spent last month traveling through the enchanted Guangxi region of China, and am now back to a busy semester of teaching (I’m up to my eyeballs in student essays!).  Anyway, it’s nice to be back.

Here’s a poem dedicated to my mother and late stepfather (link above) just published in the Valentine’s Day issue of Yellow Mama. A little more sentimental than my usual fare, but I can’t help it~I get mushy when I write about the people I love.  And BTW, those last two stanzas should have been kept in the original tercets…
